as a Texas Congressman who managed to supply military support to the Afghan Majahedeen
fighting the Soviets in 1980. The film also stars Julia Roberts and Phillip Seymour
Hoffman.

May 23 "Phantom of Liberty" (1974) - A dreamlike
comedy of irony in which the openess of eating and the privacy of defecating are

May 30 "This is the Army" (1943) - Three star musical with Oscar
for scoring in a musical. Irving Berlin got more than 300 soldiers and sailors for
the show which features Lt. Ronald Reagan, Sgt. Joe Louis, Irving Berlins and George

Mandivamba Rukuni is Regional Director for African Programs at the W.K.
Kellogg Foundation in Pretoria. He has authored and co-authored a great number of
academic books on food security policy options, and has given keynote addresses
around the world. Please join us to welcome this remarkable author to the greater
Lansing area as he shares his spiritual growth, the elevation of human values and
the sacredness of life. Co-hosted by Martha Bibbs, Larry Leatherwood, Rory McNeal
and Rishan Butler. The event is a fund raiser to support the Black Child and Family

It helps to bring our esoteric body back into balance which creates a healthy spirit
