Adult Softball League Descriptions


Please be advised - There is a NO TOLERANCE approach being taking towards the NO ALCOHOL policy . There is NO alcohol allowed in the complex, including the parking lot, at any time. There will be regular police patrols of the complex and tickets will be issued! Players can also be suspended from games for violating this. Please do not be made an example of.

Men's Regulation 18 Game Leagues - Mondays
Teams looking to play more softball than one game per week are encouraged to play in this league. Open to ASA D and BELOW classified teams. All teams will play doubleheaders on Monday evenings at the East Lansing Softball Complex. League fees include: 18 scheduled games, single elimination post-season tournament, field maintenance supplies, softballs, trophies/awards, ASA team registration and ASA Umpire. Team trophies will be awarded to league and playoff champions and runner up. Individual awards will be given to league champions only. These leagues are limited to eight (16) teams, 8 teams per league.

Men's Regulation 14 Game Leagues - Wednesdays
This League will play a single game format and will be ASA class D and BELOW teams. The East Lansing Department of Parks, Recreation & Arts reserves the right to place teams in separate divisions according to previous performance, team request, and strength of roster. Games will be played at the East Lansing Softball Complex. League fees include: 14 scheduled games, single elimination playoffs, field maintenance supplies, softballs, trophies/awards, ASA team registrations and ASA certified umpire. Team trophies will be issued to league and playoff champions and runner up. Individual awards will be issued to league champions only. 

Women's Regulation 12 Game League - Thursdays
This league is comprised of 12 teams playing a single game format. Generally, class D and BELOW teams play in this league. The East Lansing Department of Parks, Recreation & Arts reserves the right to place teams in either division to maintain the integrity of the program. When placing teams in divisions, past performance, strength of roster and team requests will be considered. Games will be played at the East Lansing Softball Complex. League fees include: 12 scheduled games, Single elimination playoffs, field maintenance, softballs, trophies/awards, ASA team registration, ASA certified umpire. Team trophies will be presented to league and playoff champions and runner up. Individual awards will be presented to league champions only.

Coed Regulation 10 Game League - Sundays
This league is comprised of recreational teams and play games in single game format. Generally, ASA class E and BELOW teams play in this league. The East Lansing Department of Parks, Recreation & Arts reserves the right to place teams in either division to maintain the integrity of the program. When placing teams in divisions, past performance, strength of roster and team requests will be considered. Games will be played at the East Lansing Softball Complex. League fees include: 10 scheduled games, single elimination playoffs, field maintenance, softballs, trophies/awards, ASA team registration and ASA certified umpire. Team trophies will be presented to league and playoff champions and runner up. Individual awards will be presented to league champions only.

Men's Unofficiated League 10 Games - Tuesdays
This league is purely recreational! There is no umpire present and teams govern their own games. This league may be split into two divisions. The East Lansing Department of Parks, Recreation & Arts reserves the right to place teams in either division to provide for more equal competition. Team requests, past performance and strength of roster will be considered when placing teams in a particular division. Games will be played at the East Lansing Softball Complex. League fees include: 10 scheduled games, field maintenance, field supervisor, softballs and league administration. Team trophies will be awarded to league champions and runner up. NO individual awards will be issued, but are available at Parks and Recreation Department cost.

Coed Unofficiated League(s) 10 Games - Tuesday or Thursday
There will be leagues on both Tuesday and Thursday. This league is purely for recreational coed teams that just want to play. There is no umpire present and teams govern their own games. Teams wanting a more competitive COED game should register for the SUNDAY officiated league. League Fees include: 10 scheduled games, field maintenance, softballs and site supervisor. A team sponsor trophy will be issued to the league champion and runner up in each division. NO individual awards will be issued.
