The City of East Lansing in cooperation with the East Lansing Public Schools and other community organizations uses the positive youth asset development model to establish a comprehensive approach to developing
youth assets in the community.
The After-School Program, offered to middle school students during the academic
year, is home to the Hot Spot Teen Club (a recreation room feautring air hockey,
pool tables, video games, a study area and social area), organized activities, recreational
activities and tutoring services.
Note to Parents: All student participants are required to have a valid Teen
Club ID/Pass in order to participate in the after-school teen program. There is
no cost for the program. Once all paperwork has been completed and submitted, the
student participant will be issued his or her ID/Pass. The student must have this
card in order to participate in the program. Lost cards can be replaced for $5.
Students without their cards will be asked to leave the East Lansing Hannah Community
Center until they receive a replacement card. Please see the forms below.
