Residents can drop off athletic shoes at the DPW recycling drop-off site, 1800 E. State Road. Any brand of athletic shoe can
be recycled; however, shoes with metal cleats or spikes will not be accepted.
Additionally, no dress shoes, sandals, boots,or other types of shoes will be accepted.....just your worn out old sneakers. Shoes should be relatively clean and free of excess dirt and mud. The shoes are recycled through the Nike ReUse-A-Shoe Program.
