Yard Waste Collection Rules:

Yard waste collection will begin on April 2 and conclude at the end of November.
Collection occurs on the majority of Mondays during this time period, excluding holidays.
Advance request is required for collection.

The Department of Public Works needs to know in advance if yard waste will be put to the curb for collection.
Residents can do this by filling out and submitting this e-mail request form,
by calling and leaving a message at DPW?s 24-hour number, 351-4999 or
by calling the DPW office during regular business hours, 337-9459.
All requests must be received by 7:30 a.m. on Monday for collection that day.

Only organic yard trimmings are collected.
Organic yard trimmings include grass clippings, leaves, plant material and brush.

Bag all yard waste in City paper bags or non-City paper bags with a $1 yard waste sticker attached.
Bags must not exceed 60 pounds.
Do not use Easy Carts or plastic bags for yard waste collection.

Brush bundles must be no more than four feet long by one foot in diameter,
and should weigh no more than 60 pounds. Individual limbs must be no more than 4 inches in diameter.
Bundle with string or twine only-no wire. A $1 yard waste sticker must be attached to each bundle.

Special No-Fee Yard Waste Collection Days - April 9, April 23 and May 7

The City?s no-fee yard waste collection days are intended to help residents spruce up their yards
this spring by allowing for disposal of yard waste without extra pay.
On these special days, yard waste may be put out for collection without the use of City bags or yard waste stickers.
Advance request for pickup is not required. All other yard waste guidelines (listed above) apply.
Please note, there will be no bulk item pickup on these three days.

No Yard Waste Collection on the Following Holidays:

Memorial Day, May 28
Labor Day, September 3
Veterans Day, November 12
