Ingham County residents who use syringes, needles and lancets to administer medications at home produce "sharps" medical waste. You can prevent injury, infection and pollution by utilizing the Ingham County Medical Sharps Disposal Program.

Participants receive an empty sharps container and return it when full to the Ingham County Health Department for proper disposal. The program is free and limited to Ingham County residents.
