For information on obtaining a marriage license in Ingham County, please contact the Ingham County Clerk's Office at (517) 483-6101. The Court does not issue marriage licenses and you must bring a valid license to get married at the Court.
Schedule a wedding A District Court Judge may perform marriages within the district for which he or she serves, unless appointed as a visiting judge to act outside the district. Marriage ceremonies are performed at the Court during regular business hours based on the judge's availability. Please call to make an appointment at (517) 351-7024. Requests for weekend ceremonies or marriages outside of East Lansing may also be made.
Cost There is a $10 fee to have a Judge perform a marriage ceremony. Information on the cost for a marriage license may be obtained from the Ingham County Clerk's Office at (517) 483-6101.

The Court offers six different types of marriage ceremonies. Choose from the following:
