The East Lansing/Meridian Water/Sewer Authority sets policy concerning the management, supervision and control of the water production facilities for East Lansing and Meridian Township. Members are required to have training in fields related to water production and management; 3 appointed by the Meridian Township Board and 3 appointed by the City Council
