Refuse/Recycling Storage

  • Easy Carts (required refuse containers) and blue recycling bins are required to be properly stored.
  • On collection days, easy carts, yellow trash bags and recycling bins are to be placed at the curb or other approved location. They should not be placed at the curb until 8 p.m. the night before pickup and should be removed by resident by 10 a.m. the following day.
  • Between collections, easy carts and recyclable containers shall be stored and placed in an enclosed accessory structure, garage or shed, or primary structure; or an approved container or facility for external storage equipped with tight-fitting, vermin-proof lids inconspicuously placed on the premises. Containers not enclosed in a primary or accessory structure shall be stored to the rear or side of the primary structure, accessory garage or shed structure, and as close to the structure as possible. If placed on the side, the container should be at least one-half the distance of the length of the structure toward the rear of the structure.
  • Any bulk items (furniture, appliances, etc.) require a bulk item sticker. These can be purchased at City Hall or Public Works.
