SATURDAY ACTING ACADEMY
The Saturday Acting Academy takes place on Saturday morning. Each class is one hour long. The cost for the class is $50 for members and $65 for non-members.

Session I:  September 19 - November 21  (no class on October 10 & 31)
Session II:  March 6 - April 17

Class Descriptions:
Ages 4-8:  Introduction to Creative Drama (10 am - 11 am)
Students will learn techniques and exercises for creatively using their voices and bodies expressively to tell a story to their audience.

Ages 8-11:  Creative Drama and Characterization (10 am - 11 am)
Students will explore the personalities, behaviors and mannerisms of familiar characters. They will then learn how to use their bodies, voices and facial expressions in meaningful ways to portray characters onstage.

Ages 11-15:  Advanced Characterization (11 am - 12 pm)
By exploring the archetypes found in world mythology and American folklore, students will explore the many traits that make us human or, in some cases, not so human. Through a series of theatre games and exercises, they will learn how professional stage actors “get into character”.

Ages 15-18:  Advanced Dramatic Study (11 am - 12 pm)
These classes will focus on the more intricate and skillful techniques of theater work including script analysis, stage combat, choreography and improvisational exercises. Prior stage experience or class work is recommended but not required.

The Drama Camp takes place Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. for ages 4-18. The cost for the class is $125 for members and $150 for non-members. Participants are split into groups based on age and level of development.

Session I:  June 14-18
Session II:  June 21-25
Session III:  July 12-16
Session IV:  July 19-23

OPEN WORKSHOPS

Open Workshops are introductory workshops suitable for all ages (children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent) and run from 1-4 p.m. The cost for the class is $5 for members and $7 for non-members.


Stage Combat:  October 17 & February 13
Improvisation Intro:  November 14 & March 6
Developing Creativity:  January 23 & April 3

Girl Scout Workshops
Girl Scout Workshops are design specifically for Girl Scouts to earn their theatre badge and run from 1-4 p.m. with a short performance at the end. The cost for the class is $10 per scout (supplies provided by All-of-Us Express. Troops of all levels are welcome.

Available Dates: October 24, November 7, December 19, January 16, February 6, March 13 and April 10
