Baby ELPRA offers quality Before and After School Childcare for children kindergarten through 6th grade enrolled in the East Lansing Public Elementary Schools (Pinecrest, Donley, Marble, Red Cedar, Glencairn and Whitehills) [Rates & Fees]

Programs

 

Before School Care
Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. until school starts
Children will be engaged in free choice, games and homework.


After School Care
Monday – Friday: after school – 6 p.m.
Children will be engaged in arts & crafts, homework, outdoor and gym time. Afternoon snack provided


Half Day Care
Available when East Lansing has a half day: noon – 6 p.m.
Children will be engaged in arts & crafts, homework, outdoor and gym time. Afternoon snack provided.

Break Care
Available during Winter Break, Mid-Winter Break, & Spring Break: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Children will be engaged in arts & crafts, outdoor time and field trips.

 

2012 Summer Kids Camps
Learn about the Kids Camps that will be held in summer 2012. Each week features a different theme.

 

Enrollment Info

  • Enrollment packets can be picked up at the Bailey Community Center, 300 Baily St., beginning Aug. 8, 2011
  • Registrants will be required to pay a $50 registration fee and the first month's tuition at the time of enrollment.
  • Registrants must be enrolled for a minimum of 2 days/week to partipate.
  • Start date of Sept. 12, 2011 for all registrations received after Aug. 19
  • Enrollment is based on space availability and parents may enroll their child at any time throughout the year, provided there are openings.

   

Full and Part-Time Care

Full-time and part-time care is available; however priority is given to full-time participants. Full time care consists of enrollment in ALL morning and afternoon sessions, Monday through Friday. To register for a regular part time schedule, parents must commit to a specific number of sessions, no less than two per calendar week.


Ratio of Caregivers to Children
The ELPRA Before and After School Program strives to maintain 1:18 ratio. This ratio will vary but will always be within the legally licensed limit of 1:20.


Transportation

Transportation is available to B&A participants. Glencairn participants ride the bus to either Marble or Red Cedar schools. Whitehills participants ride the bus to either Pinecrest or Donley schools.

 

Activities Offered

  • Recreation, arts and crafts
  • Dramatic play
  • Time for homework
  • Field trips
  • Free time to spend with friends.
