The purpose of the Park, Recreation, Open Space and Greenways Plan is to assess the needs of the community for parks, recreation, open space and greenways, and to identify the actions to be taken to improve and maintain these facilities. A five-year plan is also required by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources to maintain eligibility for grant funding. Copies of the 2012 Park, Recreation, Open Space & Greenways Plan are available for review online or copies are available at the East Lansing Public Library and the East Lansing Hannah Community Center.
