Active Senior Exercise

Exercise your way to good health. Each exercise session consists of a series of slow stretches which include light weight, exercise bands and large balls.
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:15-10:15 a.m.
$4 for members, $9 for non-members

 

Clogging
Have fun and get energized! Learn the basic clogging steps, similar to tap but easier on the knees. The instructor Joyce Neilson.

Thursdays from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
$14 for members, $19 for non-members

 

Line Dancing

Dance the afternoon away! Learn line dancing sequences which promise to make you the life of any party. Beginners and intermediates are always welcome.
Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. (Dance Studio)
$17.50 for members, 22.50 for non-members

 

Stretch, Flex & Balance I
Improve posture and balance and increase flexibility. This class is for beginners and will focus on chair exercises. The instructor is Julie Dillon.
Thursdays from 10:45-11:45 am. (Room 140)
$20 for members, $25 for non-members for 4 sessions.
 
Stretch, Flex & Balance II
Stretch, Flex & Balance II is for those who have previously taken Stretch, Flex & Balance I or another fitness class. The instructor is Julie Dillon.
Tuesdays from 10:45-11:45 am. (Room 142)
$25 for members, $30 for non-members for 5 sessions.

Tai Chi
Enjoy tai chi with instructor is Glen Grossman.
Beginner class is held on Thursdays from 10:45-11:30.a.m. and advanced class is held from 11:15-noon. A warm-up, cool-down session is held from 11:15-11:30 a.m.
$7 for members, $12 for non-members

 

Walking Club
Join Julie Dillon as she leads us through an indoor walking course at the community center.  Please call to sign up or if you have questions (517) 337-1113.
Thursdays at 9:45 am.
$2 donation is appreciated

 

Water Aerobics

Jump in and Get Fit! This class uses the properties of water resistance to tone and strengthen the body. This class combines water walking, aerobics, and strength training all under water and you don't have to know how to swim!
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
$6 for members, $11 for non-members

 

Water Cardio with Carolyn
Challenge your cardiovascular system and muscles at the same time. This cardio class provides a full-body workout on Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. The instructor is Carolyn Haines.
$30 for members, $35 for non-members for 5 sessions.
 

Zumba
Join Cassie in this class that is more like fun than exercise. Are you new to Zumba? Do you need a little help with some of the Zumba steps? This class is for you!
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5 pm (Dance Studio)
$72 for members, $77 for non-members for 8 sessions.
