There are two ways residents can dispose of spring/summer yard waste. Yard waste includes leaves, plant materials, grass clippings and brush/limbs.
Special Note: DPW asks residents to refrain from raking leaves into the roadway. These leaves often get washed into catch basins, preventing rainwater from properly draining from City streets. This can cause localized flooding and hazardous driving conditions.

All other yard waste guidelines apply. There is no bulk item collection on no-fee yard waste days.
A Note About No-Fee Days: In these difficult budget times, DPW has reduced no-fee days from three to two days to reduce costs and preserve other services to East Lansing residents.
