The plant is an 18.75 million gallon per day activated sludge/tertiary filtration plant. Pollutants are removed from the waste stream through a combination of biological, physical and chemical processes. Over 40 tons of biosolids are disposed of per day at the plant. Trained professionals are working 24 hours a day at the East Lansing Wastewater Treatment Plant to protect the State’s water resources.
