The popular recycling and reuse event, Recycle! East Lansing, will take place on Saturday, June 1 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Abbott Center. Most items are collected free of charge. Proof of residency required.

The City of East Lansing and MSU announce "The Yellow Birds" as the 2013 One Book, One Community book selection. Written by debut novelist and Iraq War veteran Kevin Powers, the book has received critical acclaim and was a 2012 National Book Award finalist.
