The City of East Lansing is currently seeking community nominations for the 2012 Crystal Awards.

Tickets are currently available for the Daddy Daughter Butterfly Ball, which will be hosted on two back-to-back evenings Feb. 7-8 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center.

The All-of-us Express Children’s Theatre will bring “Robin Hood” to the East Lansing Hannah Community Center’s stage on the weekends of Feb. 10-11 and Feb. 17-18.

(SCENE) Metrospace has unveiled its latest exhibit "A Michigan State University Showcase," which will be available for public view through Feb. 26.

City Council adopted a new snow and ice removal ordinance in 2011, which modifies the City’s previous ordinance. The new snow removal ordinance, Ord. 1262, was adopted to further clarify snow removal requirements.

Community members currently caring for a loved one with dementia or memory loss can garner information, skills and attitudes to manage stress with the Creative Confident Caregivers program.

It was announced this week that the Lansing-East Lansing MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area) ranked first in three job growth categories in a report released by Urban Institute’s MetroTrends.

The City is calling on residents to join in the 2012 Winter Warm-Up and Blues’ Community Challenge, a regional fitness competition pitting nine mid-Michigan communities against each other to compete for its share of $10,000 in grant funding.
