Open Alcohol Ordinance
Sec. 26-52: Prohibits the possession of any alcoholic beverage in an open container or container with a broken seal in any public place or private area open to the public except a licensed liquor establishment or elsewhere as provided by ordinance. [fines]

Minor in Possession (MIP) Ordinance
Sec. 26-53: It is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to consume alcohol. Any person suspected of being a Minor in Possession of Alcohol will be required to show proof of age and may be asked to take a breath alcohol test. [fines]

Disorderly Conduct Ordinance
Sec 26-52: Prohibits public urination, destroying public property, causing a public disturbance, inciting to riot, resisting arrest and other similar behavior. [fines]

Noise Ordinance
Prohibits noise which may disturb neighbors. Examples are stereos played at loud levels and inappropriate shouting at any time. After 11 p.m., the noise violation will be written as a misdemeanor offense. [fines]

Enhanced Party Noise Ordinance
The amendment defines enhanced party noise as a violation of the noise ordinance and two or more of the following conditions: [fines]

 

House and Yard

Grass Height
Sec. 302.4: Maintain a presentable yard. Grass cannot exceed six inches. [fines]

Party Litter
Sec. 14-38: Party litter in the front and back yard is the tenant's responsibility to clean up. If not cleaned up you may receive a civil infraction. [fines]

Shovel Snow
Sec. 38-0127: Snow must be cleared off of sidewalks within 24 hours of a snowfall during winter months. Keep this in mind when going home for winter break. [fines]

Outdoor Furniture
Do not leave indoor furniture outdoors. [fines]

Trash
Sec: 36-85: Trash goes out at 8 pm the night before pickup. Trash containers should be brought in by 10 am the following day. Trash containers must be stored at the rear of the house if stored outside. [fines]

Parking
