Familiar faces... Making a difference
Presented by the East Lansing City Council, the annual Crystal Awards program honors individuals, groups, organizations and businesses that have gone above and beyond to enhance the quality of life in East Lansing. Similar to previous years, this year’s recipients were nominated by their peers and then selected from a large pool of nominees by a community selection committee. The community selection committee goes through an extensive review process and narrows down the nominees to four recipients.
2012 CRYSTAL AWARD RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED
The 2012 Crystal Award recipients were announced at the annual community reception on Thursday, April 19. This year's recipients were Marsha Bristor, the Summer Circle Theatre, Dr. Dale Bartlett and the Eric 'RicStar' Winter Music Therapy Camp. View the 2012 Recipient Bios.
COMMUNITY RECEPTION Community members are invited to the Annual Crystal Awards, a lively public reception honoring the extraordinary achievements of East Lansing’s unsung heroes. This year’s ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 19 at 5 p.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road. The ceremony will be free and open to the public.
IT'S NOT TOO EARLY TO SUBMIT YOUR 2013 NOMINATION
It's never too early to submit a nomination for next year. Recognize East Lansing's unsung heroes by submitting an ONLINE nomination or PAPER nomination. Nominations will be reviewed by a community selection committee, comprised of East Lansing residents, and four recipients will be selected. Recipients will be honored at a special free-to-the-community community reception.
