The City of East Lansing encourages community members and businesses to consider making a donation to East Lansing’s many programs, services and facilities. There are many giving opportunities available, all of which will assist in strengthening East Lansing’s municipal services to community members in future years. Donating today is an investment in East Lansing’s tomorrow.


 

Donations in any amount are welcomed and are tax deductible. Whether it’s a monetary donation, a giving of goods and services, a contribution through an established foundation/endowment or a bequest in a will; there are a variety of means to give back to the East Lansing community.

 

There are also a number of volunteer opportunities with a number of City of East Lansing departments and programs.

(SCENE) Metrospace, the City of East Lansing's alternative contemporary art gallery and performance space, provides the community with important cultural programming such as contemporary art exhibitions, music concerts, poetry readings, film screenings and dance and theater events. All of the revenue that (SCENE) generates, as well as all of the contributions and donations and support that the space receives, helps offset the City's subsidy of this vital community arts space.

The Prime Time Seniors' Program is a nationally accredited program which serves to enrich the lives of community members who are age 55 or better. The mission is to serve as a community focal point for area seniors and their families in an atmosphere of respect, trust, empowerment and support.
