HIGHLIGHTS

  • Development Review Process - The City has compiled relevant information for applicants seeking to develop in East Lansing, including Comprehensive Plan and code information, forms and applications, steps, procedures and much more.
  • Urban Design Guidelines - The public and stakeholders are encouraged to provide feedback on the Urban Design Guidelines. The document helps guide decisions about design elements in downtown East Lansing, including decorative paving in the alleys, fences around the surface parking lots and the addition of public art throughout the downtown.
  • DTN and Park District Investment Group Submits Revised Proposals for Park District - As of June 30, two developers have communicated with the City that they will move forward with two separate redevelopment projects on the Park District project site. The revised proposals are available to the public.
  • Comprehensive Plan Update - Community members are encouraged to participate in the Comprehensive Plan update, which started in September and takes place over 18 months. The plan update, which will be referred to as the Bigger Picture, is an important working document that projects land use planning 20 years into the future.
  • Link to Economic Development - Learn about economic development in East Lansing with interactive GIS mapping, a new property locator and site selection features.
