Residents are encouraged to take advantage of an extra, free curbside recycling day for Earth Day this year. Residents who live west of Abbot Road will have an extra recycling day on Monday, April 17 and residents who live east of Abbot Road will have an extra recycling day on Monday, April 24.
Residents can fill their carts with clean, accepted items and place them at the curb on these extra days, which are offered in addition to normal recycling collection days. Carts must be at the curb by 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection. Community members can learn more about what items are accepted in the curbside recycling program at www.cityofeastlansing.com/recycle.
