Since 1995, the East Lansing City Council has established and updated a Strategic Priority document that guides the allocation of City resources over a two-year period. City Council meets in retreat with key staff each January to discuss the upcoming year’s objectives and to receive updates regarding the past year’s activities.
The City’s Strategic Priorities fall under the overarching categories of Good Governance; Vibrant Economy and Development; Diverse, Safe, Strong Community; Environmental Sustainability; Enhanced Transportation and Infrastructure; and Recreation and Cultural Opportunities.
