At its January 21, 2020 meeting, the East Lansing City Council approved a Site Plan and Special Use Permit application from Rockwood Development Group, LLC for the properties at 6290, 6330, 5350 Abbot Road and vacant land on Abbot Road to develop a three-phased development consisting of an assisted living and memory care building, independent living villas and a four-story independent living building.
The first phase will consist of the construction of 83 units of the assisted living and memory care building and 22 independent living villas. The future plans include adding 24 units to the aforementioned assisted living and memory care building, adding 36 independent living villas and constructing the independent living building it its entirety (a total of 160 units).
