The Department of Public Works & Environmental Services (DPW) provides engineering, sanitation, environmental, transportation, water and sewer services to the community. The mission of the DPW is to maintain and improve the City’s infrastructure and environment and provide high-quality services to the community making East Lansing a great place to live, study and work.

The Lansing Board of Water & Light maintains streets lights throughout the City of East Lansing. To report any outages or problems, please call BWL at (877) 295-5001 or visit www.lbwl.com/streetlights.
