Downtown Development Authority

The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) develops programs and projects which are aimed at improving downtown East Lansing including new business development, business recruitment and retention, downtown beautification, public improvements, marketing and promotion. Members must consist of commissioners that own or manage commercial property in the downtown and one member who lives within the DDA District.

Upcoming Public Hearings


Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 12 p.m. in Conference Room A, East Lansing City Hall, 410 Abbot Rd.:

  • A public hearing will be held to consider the proposed Fiscal Year 2019 Downtown Development Authority budget. The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing. For the purposes of the hearing it shall be assumed that the tax rate will be 1.7007 mills.
