The East Lansing Arts Commission distributes grant funding for public art projects and events in East Lansing. The commission has up to $25,000 to allocate to cultural arts projects for Fiscal Year 2024.
The Cultural Arts Grant program supports high-quality public art projects that encourage artistic expression and public participation, with an emphasis on promoting cultural appreciation for Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities as well as the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersexual and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) community. Fiscal Year 2024 grant-funded programs must take place between November 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024.
The East Lansing Arts Commission is accepting applications for its FY24 Cultural Arts Grant program. A total of $25,000 is currently available for grants and applications must be received by September 6, 2023. Download an application (PDF) and view the grant scoresheet (PDF).
Grant recipients are required to submit an Online Final Report, which is used by the Arts Commission to evaluate funding. Please complete and return the final report within 60 days of the completion day of the funded project or activity.
