About Creative Wellness
For more than two decades Creative Wellness has provided a diverse selection of natural health services to the Greater Lansing community. The local East Lansing business opened its doors in 1990 and has since evolved from the largest Michigan massage center into the largest complementary health center in Michigan.
Creative Wellness originally opened in a 1,700-square-foot space close to the Michigan State University campus, but after a brief time it was evident that the space could no longer support its growing customer base. The business expanded to a new 4,000-square-foot space after only three short years and is now planning to expand again in 2011 to a new, freshly renovated 10,300-square-foot space in the same office park as its current East Lansing home
The business originally consisted of six practitioners who saw the need
for a holistic health center in the Greater Lansing community. Today, it
is co-directed by two of the original co-founders, Irene Savoyat and
Christine Reay, and is staffed by 50 people, including service
providers, class instructors and administrative employees. This number
will soon grow to approximately 60 staff members within the next year.
Savoyat and Reay attribute Creative Wellness’ continued growth and
success to the people they serve in the East Lansing community.
Creative Wellness & East Lansing
“East Lansing has been a great location for us,” said Savoyat. “We have
a population here that truly understands holistic health and the
importance of taking care of oneself.”
“Every time we have
expanded we have tried to stay close to our previous location and have
chosen to keep our roots in East Lansing,” Reay added. “We have chosen
this community because of its close proximity to MSU and the diversity
of people who live here. We have an extremely educated population in
East Lansing who appreciates the quality and excellence of the goods and
services we provide.”
Creative Wellness services include
everything from chiropractic to acupuncture, hypnotherapy, Ayurveda,
naturopathic healthcare, Reiki and more. The business also provides a
variety of massage therapy, including oncology massage, pregnancy
massage, sports massage, rehabilitation massage and more. In total, the
business provides more than 20 services and an eclectic variety of
classes in movement and well-being. Classes offered at the local
business include yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, Nia and more.
