Urban Design Guidelines

The City of East Lansing Downtown Development Authority (DDA) has updated its Urban Design Guidelines for downtown East Lansing. The document is intended to guide decisions about design elements in downtown East Lansing, including decorative paving, site amenities and the addition of public art throughout the downtown.

Design elements help express the character of the downtown and make it a welcoming and attractive place to visit. With new development on the horizon and the current Comprehensive Plan Update underway, the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) will refer to this document when making decisions on downtown design.
