A number of tips and answers to frequent questions have been compiled:
There may be frequent breaks during the actual selection of jurors and delays during a trial. These delays are often unavoidable.
It is recommended that you bring something with you that you can do quietly while waiting, such as a book or crossword puzzle.
You may bring a laptops, pagers and/or cell phones, but these items must be turned off while in the courtroom and during deliberations.
Beverages are allowed in the courtroom. Pop machines are available in the building.
If you are selected for a jury, coffee will be provided in the jury room.
Jurors are usually given a lunch break and are free to leave the building. Food may be provided during deliberations but you are free to bring your own food, especially if you are a diabetic or on a special diet.
