Community members are encouraged to volunteer for one or more of a series of natural area work days. Volunteers will work to remove invasive plant species, such as garlic mustard and buckthorn, from East Lansing parks.

Saturday, Oct. 10
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Patriarche Park, 960 Alton Road.
Weeding, cleaning up planter beds and rain garden.
Saturday, Nov. 14
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Henry Fine Park, Winchester at Crown Blvd.
Saturday, Dec. 12 (tentative)
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (tentative)
The City of East Lansing will provide work gloves, tools and refreshments. Volunteers should wear long sleeves, long pants, boots/shoes that can get muddy and additional work gloves (if you have them).

If it is below freezing or pouring rain the workday will be canceled. Program coordinators will do their best to email/call everyone who has signed up in advance and post cancellations on Facebook.
