[ARCHIVED] City of East Lansing Holiday Closures & Collections

EAST LANSING, Mich. — A number of City of East Lansing offices will be closed in observance of the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

City Hall, DPW, ELPL and 54B District Court
East Lansing City Hall, the East Lansing Department of Public Works, the East Lansing Public Library and the East Lansing 54B District Court will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24; Wednesday, Dec. 25; Tuesday, Dec. 31 and Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Due to the holiday closures, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s refuse and recycling will be collected on the Thursdays of the holiday weeks. Collection days will be Thursday, Dec. 26 and Thursday, Jan. 2.

East Lansing Hannah Community Center
The East Lansing Hannah Community Center (ELHCC) will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24; Wednesday, Dec. 25; and Wednesday, Jan. 1. ELHCC will also have adjusted hours on Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 6 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Prime Time Seniors’ Program
The Prime Time Seniors’ Program will be closed Dec. 24-Jan. 1. The office will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2.

Free Holiday Parking in Downtown East Lansing
There will be free holiday parking in downtown East Lansing Dec. 24-25, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
