EAST LANSING, Mich. — A suspect in an embezzlement case involving the Eastminster Child Development Center was arraigned yesterday, March 2 in the East Lansing 54-B District Court.
The suspect is Michele Lynn Mund, a 36-year-old Laingsburg resident and the former director of the Eastminster Child Development Center.
The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) was contacted by the Eastminster Child Development Center, located at 693 N. Hagadorn Road in East Lansing, in August 2014. ELPD immediately began investigating potential financial irregularities that had been discovered involving the former director.
Mund was arraigned yesterday on the following four felony counts:
- two counts of uttering and publishing
- one count embezzlement between $20,000 to $50,000
- one count embezzling from a nonprofit
Mund was released on a $10,000 PR bond.
