EAST LANSING, Mich. — The City of East Lansing has published a Local State of Emergency Continuity of Operations Plan for community members: https://www.cityofeastlansing.com/DocumentCenter/View/9371/COEL-Continuity-of-Operations-PDF.
The plan outlines the services that will and will not be maintained during the local state of emergency declared by East Lansing Mayor Ruth Beier last Friday, March 13, and it will be updated regularly as new needs arise.
Community members are reminded that all City of East Lansing facilities/offices will be closed to the public from Monday, March 16, 2020 through Sunday, April 5, 2020. Additionally, all regularly scheduled City of East Lansing public meetings, events and programs will be canceled during this closure period. While all essential services; such as police, fire, EMS, trash/recycling collection, water services and wastewater management; will be maintained, some non-essential services will be suspended during the emergency closures.
