[ARCHIVED] DDA to Hold Special Meeting and Public Hearing Electronically on Thursday, May 14

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Pursuant to Executive Orders 2020-33 and 2020-48 from the Governor of the State of Michigan, a special meeting of the East Lansing Downtown Development Authority (DDA) will be held electronically on Thursday, May 14 at noon due to the presence of the coronavirus in the community.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider the following items: Special Rule Limiting Public Comment to Two (2) Minutes; Approval of the April 30, 2020 Meeting Minutes; Consideration of Grant Award Recipients for the Business Relief Program in direct response to COVID-19; Rescind of the April 23, 2020 Approval of the Fiscal Year 2021 DDA Budget and Tax Rate Resolution.

The DDA will also hold a public hearing during the special meeting on the proposed FY21 DDA Budget and Tax Rate Resolution. Following the public hearing, the DDA will consider approving the FY21 DDA Budget and Tax Rate Resolution. Community members are encouraged to visit the City’s new Electronic Public Meeting Notices webpage, which is continuously being updated with public meeting notices for meetings scheduled to be held electronically during the COVID-19 crisis. In addition to continuing to update this new webpage, the City of East Lansing will also continue to issue press releases and update the online website calendar and public meeting portal as new electronic public meetings are scheduled and public meeting notices are finalized.
