The first phase will begin Monday, May 18 and will take place from M.A.C. Avenue to the west of Target. The sidewalk is anticipated to re-open by the end of Friday, May 22, weather permitting. There will be additional work completed during this phase the following week, but it will not impact pedestrian traffic.
Phase Two
The second phase will begin Tuesday, May 19 and will take place from the west side of Target to Abbot Road. The sidewalk is anticipated to be closed until June 5, weather permitting.
During both phases of construction, pedestrian detours will be in place and East Lansing Department of Public Works (DPW) crews will be onsite. Additionally, motorists are advised that the north westbound lane of Grand River Avenue will be closed for three weeks.
