EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Downtown Development Authority (DDA) has approved a second round of $2,500 Business Relief Program (BRP) grants for DDA businesses that are suffering financial hardship due as a result of the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) crisis. A total of 43 grants remain available for brick-and-mortar businesses within the DDA boundary.
The BRP grant application for business relief grant funds is now open and can be accessed from the City of East Lansing’s website: www.cityofeastlansing.com/businessrelief. The application will be open until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020.
Businesses wishing to apply for BRP grant funds must be physically located (brick and mortar) within the DDA boundaries; must be directly affected by the COVID-19 crisis and related executive orders; and must not be delinquent on any accounts, fees or assessments owed to the City of East Lansing prior to the City’s COVID-19 local state of emergency declaration. Businesses that received a grant through the first round of the program are not eligible for the second round of grant funding.
