EAST LANSING, Mich. – The City of East Lansing has contracted with Able Concrete, Inc. and C & D Hughes, Inc. for sidewalk and street improvements in the Chesterfield Hills neighborhood.
The planned work will include the resurfacing of 2.1 miles of streets in the neighborhood, priority sidewalk ramp improvements and miscellaneous curb and gutter replacement. The construction will take place in the area bounded by Michigan Avenue, Harrison Avenue, Grand River Avenue and Cowley Avenue (includes Cowley). View map.
Concrete improvements are scheduled to begin on Monday, June 8 and street resurfacing is tentatively scheduled to begin June 22. The work is slated for completion no later than mid-August.
During the course of the street resurfacing, on-street parking will be prohibited during the hours of work to allow the contractor full access to the street. Notices with additional information will be provided directly to residents prior to the resurfacing of their street.
