EAST LANSING, Mich. The East Lansing Family Aquatic Center, 6400 Abbot Road, will be closed to patrons this weekend, June 20-21, due to a pool drainage issue.
During yesterday’s backwash process, the valves were closed, but were not sealed, causing the water to drain out of the pool over night. Over the next two days, the pool will be refilled and the chemicals will be balanced to meet state standards for public swimming.
The Aquatic Center will resume regular hours on Monday, June 22. City officials appreciate patrons’ patience as the issue is corrected.
