The special meeting will take place at 9 a.m. in the Executive Conference Room (second floor) at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road. Council has selected five applicants to interview at the special meeting. They include Dr. Nichole Biber, Daniel Bollman, Noel Garcia, Jr., Mikey Manuel and Abigail Tykocki.

The current Council vacancy is the result of former Councilmember Lisa Babcock’s resignation from Council to serve as the newly elected judge for the East Lansing 54B District Court. Judge Babcock's resignation was submitted to the East Lansing City Clerk’s Office on Dec. 28, and, per the City Charter, the resulting Council vacancy must be filled within 30 days from that resignation date.
