Property Taxes Accepted through Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 5 p.m.


UPDATE: The deadline for property taxes has been extended to Thursday, Feb. 16 at 5 p.m.

EAST LANSING, Mich. — With East Lansing City Hall closed today, the East Lansing Finance Department will be accepting property taxes through tomorrow, Feb. 15 at 5 p.m. 

  • Online: Credit card and e-check payments can be made online by visiting (a convenience fee applies).
  • A blue payment drop box is in the north parking lot of East Lansing City Hall, 410 Abbot Road, for property tax payments as well as water bills, income tax payments, building and housing items and miscellaneous invoice payments. The box is secure and checked daily. Yellow drop boxes should only be used for court-related items.         

Property taxes paid by 5 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 15 will be considered on time.
