EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) has released information regarding the victims involved in the fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on the evening of Wednesday, April 5 at the Lake Lansing-Coolidge intersection in East Lansing.
When officers arrived on scene, they found two vehicles with multiple people in each. A 19-year-old male from Williamston and a 20-year-old male from Lansing were pronounced dead at the scene. As of today, April 6, two patients have been discharged from the hospital and three patients remain in the hospital, one of whom is in critical condition. A fourth was airlifted last night to the University of Michigan Hospital and is in stable condition.
“Our hearts are heavy today knowing that two young lives have been lost. We hope that the recovery for those that suffered serious injury will be swift,” said East Lansing Police Captain Chad Pride.
