EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community members are invited to attend a concert for community healing at the East Lansing Public Library (ELPL), 950 Abbot Road on Wednesday, April 12 from 7-8 p.m. The concert is free.
Musicians Reggie Harris, the Rev. Robert Jones, Matt Watroba and Josh White Jr. will perform together in the ELPL’s meeting room as part of the Concert in the Café series. Wednesday’s concert is offered as a special performance to bring comfort to the community after the tragic events of Feb. 13.
“We are grateful that these four amazing musicians are coming together for the East Lansing community to help us continue to heal after the horrific shootings at MSU in February. We want the community to be together, to have a space to grieve and to heal together with wonderful music,” said ELPL Library Director Kristin Shelley.
Additionally, counselors from the Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham Counties (CMH) are continuing to offer crisis support at the ELPL on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30-5 p.m. through April 26. Sessions are free and community members do not need to make an appointment.
