EAST LANSING, Mich. — The next phase of the Neighborhood Improvements Utility Project will begin on Monday, May 8 with road closure on Collingwood Drive from Grand River Avenue to Linden Street anticipated by mid-week.
The contractor for the project will deliver materials and set up traffic control at the intersection of Collingwood Drive and Grand River Avenue beginning Monday, May 8. Digging for both sewer and water main lines will begin in that area approximately mid-week. Additionally, sewer line repair will take place at the intersection of Linden and Division streets starting May 8. The Neighborhood Improvements Utility Project began in March. The project includes replacement of water mains, sewer lines, curbs and gutters, driveways and sidewalks on Collingwood Drive, Kedzie Street, Division Street, Gunson Street and Sunrise Court. The project will also include surface milling and paving.
