The East Lansing Farmer’s Market (ELFM) will host Spartan Appreciation Day on Sunday, Sept. 13 in Valley Court Park, 280 Valley Court.
The first 125 college students who show their college student identification card at the information booth will receive a FREE reusable ELFM shopping bag and a $2 complimentary gift certificate to shop during the 2015 season. The ELFM opens at 10 a.m.
Live musical performances take place at the market each week from 10 a.m. – noon and noon – 2 p.m. Opening day performances will include Chuck Whiting at 10 a.m. and Chad Benson at noon.
The East Lansing Farmer's Market, a growers-only market, is located in an inviting, open-air atmosphere, just steps away from the Michigan State University campus. Customers can fill their shopping bags with a diverse selection of fresh, farm-grown Michigan produce and products, including fresh vegetables, grass-fed beef, artisan bread, cheese, all-natural chicken, organic produce and much more. The 2015 season will take place on Sundays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. through October 25.
