EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing City Clerk’s office, 410 Abbot Road, will be open this Saturday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. to issue and receive absentee ballots for the November 3, 2015 General Election.
The last day to have an absentee ballot mailed is Saturday, Oct. 31 and the last day a voter can apply for an absentee ballot and have it issued in person is Monday, Nov. 2 by 4 p.m. All absentee ballots must be returned to the City Clerk’s office by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
An absentee ballot application and additional election information can be found at www.cityofeastlansing.com/elections. Community members can call the City Clerk’s office at (517) 319-6914 with questions.
NEW! City Clerk Unveils Absentee Voter Ballot ReceptacleThe East Lansing City Clerk’s office unveiled a new absentee voter ballot receptacle this week. The receptacle; located in the north lot of East Lansing City Hall, 410 Abbot Road; provides residents with a convenient, new way to drop off voter registration applications, absentee voter ballot applications and absentee voter ballots without having to exit their cars. The receptacle will be checked several times a day and it is locked.
Other Election Reminders
The polling location for Precinct 9 (west portion of the Bailey Neighborhood) has changed from the Bailey Community Center to Edgewood United Church, 469 N. Hagadorn Road.
The polling location for Precinct 2 (Chesterfield Hills) changed in the previous election from All Saints Episcopal Church to Martin Luther Chapel, 444 Abbot Road.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. on Election Day.
