EAST LANSING, Mich. — At approximately 11:45 a.m. on Monday, November 24, the MSU Police Department received information that there was “a threat to the school” by an anonymous individual.
As a precautionary measure, the East Lansing Public Schools were placed into a “secure in place” status and an East Lansing Police Department officer was assigned to each building. There was no direct threat to the East Lansing Public Schools.
An individual suspected of making the threat was taken into custody at approximately 12:25 p.m. by the MSU Police Department.
The “secure in place” status at the East Lansing Public Schools was lifted immediately.
The threat remains under investigation with the MSU Police Department.
