EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community members are invited to celebrate March is Reading Month with the East Lansing Public Library (ELPL).
A Literacy Celebration will take place on Sunday, March 13 from 1-3:30 p.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road. There will be an interactive stage show featuring The Storytellers, which will include hands-on fun with musical instruments from many cultures, beautiful music and interactive storytelling. There will also be a variety of children’s activities, games, a scavenger hunt and an opportunity for children to meet their favorite storybook characters. Storybook characters in attendance will include Pout-Pout Fish, Paddington Bear, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Curious George and Little Critter.
A Curious George StoryTime will take place Friday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, 800 Abbot Road. This special event will include a visit from Curious George.
