EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing City Clerk’s office, 410 Abbot Road, will have special hours this Saturday, March 5 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. to issue and receive absentee voter ballots for the March 8, 2016 Presidential Primary Election.
The last day to have an absentee voter ballot mailed is Saturday, March 5 and the last day a voter can apply for an absentee voter ballot and have it issued in person is Monday, March 7 by 4 p.m. All absentee voter ballots must be returned to the City Clerk’s office by 8 p.m. on Election Day. An absentee voter ballot application and additional election information can be found at www.cityofeastlansing.com/elections. NEW! Absentee Voter Ballot Drop Box at East Lansing City HallThe East Lansing City Clerk’s office unveiled a new absentee voter ballot drop box last fall. The drop box; located in the north parking lot of East Lansing City Hall, 410 Abbot Road; provides residents with a convenient way to drop off voter registration applications, absentee voter ballot applications and absentee voter ballots without having to exit their vehicles. The securely locked box is checked several times a day and is available 24/7.
Other Election Information & Reminders- Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. on Election Day.
- Although MSU will be on Spring Break next week, all campus polling locations will be open for students registered to vote in East Lansing.
