EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community members are invited to attend the upcoming Love EL community workshop, led by nationally renowned author and TEDx speaker Peter Kageyama on Friday, April 22.
Mr. Kageyama is the author of "For the Love of Cities: The Love Affair Between People and Their Places" and "Love Where You Live: Creating Emotionally Engaging Places." Mr. Kageyama will lead an interactive workshop that guides community members on a fun journey to make downtown East Lansing more lovable by presenting small, quick and fun project ideas that can have a huge positive impact.
“We are so excited to welcome Mr. Kageyama to East Lansing and are looking forward to his inspiring keynote address during the workshop,” said East Lansing Community & Economic Development Administrator Lori Mullins. “We also are looking forward to collaborating with workshop participants and discussing their project ideas that will further inspire community members to love where they live.”
The Love EL community workshop is free and open to anyone interested in placemaking, community building and generally making East Lansing a more wonderful place to live. Workshop DetailsThe workshop will take place Friday, April 22 from 4-7:30 p.m. at the East Lansing Marriott Hotel; 300 M.A.C. Ave., East Lansing; in the Beaumont Room.
